Young Artist Classes

HOMESCHOOL MIXED MEDIA

Wed. 10:30 am -11:45 am, ages 5-12,

all supplies included. Classes include Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, and Collage. The class meets once a week and students work in a different medium each week.  

MIXED MEDIA

Tues, Wed., or Thurs. 3:30 pm - 4:45  or

Tues or Thurs. 5:00 pm - 6:15 pm, ages 5-10. All supplies included. Classes include Painting, Drawing, Sculpture and Collage. Students must be proficient with scissors. The class meets once a week and students work in a different medium each week.  

FUNDAMENTALS OF DRAWING

Tues, Wed. or Thurs.  3:30 pm - 4:30 pm, ages 8-12. Students supply materials and a B&P supply kit is available for purchase ($60). Drawing is an important first step for any artist and this class is designed to enhance basic drawing skills. Focusing on shape,  shading, and technique, students will work in pencil, pastel, and watercolor.  

ADVANCED MIXED MEDIA

Wed. 5:00 pm - 6:15 pm, Ages 10 and up. All supplies included. Classes include Painting, Drawing, Sculpture and Collage. This class meets once a week and students work in a different medium each week. 

ADVANCED DRAWING

Tues. 5:00 pm - 6:15 pm, ages 12 and up. Students supply materials and a B&P supply kit is available for purchase ($60). This class is designed for students who have previously taken a drawing course. Students enrolled in ADVANCED DRAWING will be encouraged to learn how to draw and paint both animals and people in either anime or real life and to cultivate and fine-tune their own drawing style.

TEEN OIL/ACRYLIC

Wed. or Thurs. 4:45 pm - 6:15 pm, ages 12 and up. Students supply their own materials, a B&P supply kit is available for purchase ($100).

Instructors work with students individually in a studio setting at their own pace. Students work in oil. After painting one still life, one animal and one landscape, each student works at his/her own pace on a subject they have selected.
